Meet the Team

Paul Jeorrett

Paul Jeorrett

Paul was formerly University Librarian at Wrexham Glyndŵr University and, unsurprisingly, he is an avid reader. His taste in books is eclectic, but Thomas Hardy, Tolstoy, nature writing and Scandinavian crime fiction are particular favourites. He hosted the Calon Talks Books radio show on Wrexham’s Calon FM for nearly 14 years and is a founding committee member for the Wrexham Carnival of Words.

Gwyneth Marshman

Gwyneth Marshman

Gwyneth is a former librarian who now works as a writer, editor and researcher. Her blog, The Book Diaries, chronicled how she made practical changes to her life, inspired by each book she read. An inveterate geek, she recently achieved an MA in Science Fiction & Fantasy at Anglia Ruskin University, and is now writing her first novel, a fantasy story featuring witches, cats and dragons.

Lara Edwards

Lara Edwards

Lara began her lifelong love affair with reading as soon as she learnt how to read; she devoured every book in the local library of Wrexham where she resides and has been in love with the written word ever since. She works for a publishing company and enjoys helping authors bring their words to life as a fellow writer. She is a champion of libraries, working in them and working with them, and loves the magic of books.

Holly Thorpe

Holly Thorpe

Holly is a college student who is undecided where she stands in the paperback or hardcover debate, as well as the member of the podcast with the lowest amount of literary knowledge and the highest number of mispronunciations. She will read mostly anything, but prefers stories with a bit of tragedy and any book involving swords and/or an illustrated fantasy map.

Rob Taylor

Rob Taylor

Rob is an enthusiast in a variety of fields, which either makes him a polymath or a dilettante. He has previously worked for media outlets, in local government and in higher education, in varying roles with varying degrees of acclaim and approbation. He can be found reading, visiting his local hostelry, practising archery or occasionally all three at once. The pub’s landlord is a very understanding man. He is currently owned by two cats.
